The Unit for Services to Older Adults and Persons with Disabilities, within the Department of Social Services, is now recruiting a project manager for societally important assignments within the social services area. The Swedish Agency for Health and Social Care Assessments (SBU) is a knowledge authority tasked with conducting scientific evaluations of methods within healthcare, including dentistry. SBU also has the mandate to conduct scientific evaluations of social services interventions and interventions under the LSS (Act on Support and Service to Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). At SBU, collaboration is the foundation for a positive work environment and the core of daily operations and the quality of our reports. SBU has just over 110 employees and is a government agency under the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs. Unit Description The unit consists of nine employees and is led by a unit manager. The unit evaluates interventions in elderly care, dentistry, and services for persons with disabilities. The unit's work includes communicating target-group-adapted knowledge within our subject area through various channels and forums. Work Tasks As a project manager at SBU, you will lead work on developing knowledge summaries and other scientifically based materials that address current needs in social services, dentistry, and other government agencies. You will work in interdisciplinary teams with other project managers, information specialists, and health economists, and collaborate with researchers, other government agencies, interest organizations, and professionals. The work tasks also include conducting internal development work and communicating and making research results accessible. To support your work, you will have assistance from colleagues, external experts, and various support functions such as SBU's scientific council, quality group, methodological support, and administrative support. Work tasks include, among others: leading and driving projects from planning to publication ensuring that work is conducted according to SBU's scientific methodology leading interdisciplinary project groups with external experts analyzing and compiling scientific literature contributing to quality assurance of reports and ensuring results are communicated to relevant target groups. Qualifications Doctorate degree within social work, public health, gerontology, sociology, psychology, occupational therapy, disability studies, anthropology, dentistry, or another area the agency deems equivalent experience leading projects with multiple stakeholders, such as other government agencies, professionals, and researchers excellent knowledge of Swedish and English in both spoken and written form. Meritorious subject expertise within one or more of the unit's central areas such as older persons, persons with disabilities, social services, or dentistry experience independently leading and driving projects with internal and external actors work experience with knowledge-based work in a government agency knowledge of government governance and the organization of social services. Personal Qualities As a person, you communicate easily, build trusting relationships, and have strong pedagogical skills. The position requires you to be analytical, thorough, flexible, and team-oriented, with the ability to work both independently and in a group.
