Ropažu Municipality (Registration No. 90000067986) Development and Construction Department invites applications for TRAFFIC PLANNER (Profession code 2164 02) Main job responsibilities: • Plan safe and convenient road, bicycle, and pedestrian infrastructure development and mobility improvements in the municipality, including at the integrated Riga agglomeration and regional levels; • Develop proposals in traffic planning, evaluating necessary improvements, reconstructions, and enhancements of traffic infrastructure, participating in planning document development and preparing mobility plans; • Ensure project implementation, participating in meetings and in the preparation and monitoring of investment plans; • Organize public transport services in the municipality, including collaboration with public transport providers and state institutions. • Ensure cooperation and information exchange with municipal institutions and industry organizations. Requirements for candidates: • Appropriate higher education; • Previous work experience in traffic planning or an equivalent field; • At least 2 years of professional experience, including work with territorial planning, urban planning, or traffic planning in public administration; • Experience reviewing submissions and preparing responses within the scope of the position's competence; • Knowledge of applicable legislation relevant to the position and practical ability to apply it; • State language proficiency at the highest level according to the requirements of the State Language Law; • Good communication skills, accuracy, and ability to work in a team; • Ability to independently plan work execution within set deadlines and quality standards; • Analytical thinking, high sense of responsibility, and accuracy; • Ability to formulate and solve problems of various kinds.
