Your primary responsibility is to be an experienced co-case manager to new colleagues, supporting them through their introduction. Your role also involves being involved in the more complex cases in the section. Together with our first social worker, you will support social workers with prioritization of daily work and ensure that assessment methods and tools are consistently used in case handling. The work involves active, qualified investigative and follow-up work, characterized by good treatment of clients, well-founded decisions, and high legal security, with great variety and change. We value the perspectives and opinions of children and parents, and we work to ensure that children are involved in their investigations and follow-ups. Qualifications You must have a degree in social work and several years of current experience in authority work under the Social Services Act concerning children and young people. Having high integrity while being empathetic, being able to see the bigger picture, and having a genuine commitment to doing your utmost to work with colleagues to improve the lives of children and young people are fundamental requirements for the position. Using yourself as a tool in your work means you need excellent communication skills and the ability to express yourself well both verbally and in writing. You have good collaboration skills and thrive in a role that involves extensive cooperation both within your own work group and with other activities and authorities. You have a strong ability to create and maintain relationships with children, young people, and their families, and are committed to being responsive and listening to the people you meet to build good rapport. As a person, you are also responsible and have good organizational skills that enable you to effectively plan, organize, and prioritize your work. At the same time, you need to have a solution-focused approach and adapt easily to changing circumstances. About the Workplace The Individual and Family Operations Area is divided into two departments with different mandates and focus areas: Investigation and Services. At the West Inner City unit, we have 5 sections working on investigations within Children and Family Services with a focus on environmental matters (ages 0–18). Each section consists of 11–12 social workers, 1 first social worker, and 1 section manager. We are seeking a senior case handler for West Inner City Section 4, whose focus is to be an experienced co-case manager to new colleagues and support them in their introduction, as well as be involved in the more complex cases in the section.
