We prefer that you are based in Gothenburg, but for the right candidate, there may be an opportunity to instead be based in Oslo (Norway), Rødovre (Denmark), or Nurmijärvi (Finland). About the role This is a role for someone who wants to combine technical depth with business understanding. As an application developer in SAP and EDI, you will have overall responsibility for the Nordic system environment – with a focus on stable operations, smart integrations, and continuous development. The role involves working closely with the business, where SAP is used in sales, orders, inventory, and procurement. At the same time, EDI flows are managed that are critical to the business – from order to invoicing. There is also a clear future agenda: to drive the transition from SAP R/3 to S/4HANA and contribute to a more modern and efficient system landscape. In addition, this includes responsibility for related IT infrastructure and collaboration with both internal and external parties in an international context. Your responsibilities The role combines strategic work with operational responsibility: Drive and further develop EDI solutions according to established standards such as EDIFACT and Peppol Ensure stable operations and manage onboarding of new customers in EDI flows Build and improve integrations between SAP and other systems, such as point-of-sale systems, logistics solutions, and web applications Actively contribute to the migration to SAP S/4HANA and the development of future working methods Work with analysis of business needs and translate these into sustainable technical solutions Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize flows and system performance Collaborate broadly – both internally and with external partners – in implementation and development initiatives Contribute knowledge and guidance in EDI and integration Your profile To thrive and succeed in the role, you need a combination of technical competence, business understanding, and drive. To be a good fit for the role, you have: Several years of experience in EDI development and good knowledge of relevant standards Experience with Seeburger or similar EDI platforms Knowledge of programming (such as Java, C#, Python, Visual Basic, or SQL) Experience with SAP R/3 and understanding of S/4HANA, particularly in logistics-related processes Knowledge of ABAP Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and solve complex problems Experience with server and network environments Fluent in Swedish and English – both spoken and written Meritorious: Experience with other ERP systems Background in supply chain, logistics, or retail Knowledge of cloud-based integration solutions Experience with Office 365, databases, and data management Experience in project management and modern collaboration tools Here is an opportunity to work in an environment where competence is highly valued and where initiative is encouraged.
