The Labor Market Unit has an important public mission – to support and guide people outside the regular labor market toward self-sufficiency through work or education. Within the unit there are seven different workplaces with varying focuses. We are also responsible for receiving and settling newly arrived immigrants assigned to Gällivare. The municipality's summer jobs for youth and the municipal activity responsibility for young people who do not complete upper secondary education are also tasks under the Labor Market Unit. Duties As a coordinator, you will have a central role in work with activity requirements under the Social Services Act (SoL), with a focus on supporting people receiving economic assistance to move toward the regular labor market. As a coordinator, you will also work with the management group and political leadership to develop and coordinate the administration's work on various matters. The role requires great flexibility as the operation constantly faces new challenges. This means that work tasks can vary over time and be a combination of administrative and operational work within all our operations. As a coordinator, you have an important function in, for example: Coordination matters Skills supply Contact with schools, social services, and other internal and external actors Administration Support to managers Project support Responsibility within areas such as logistics, training, and facilities may also become relevant. Examples of specific work tasks: Participate in management group meetings, for example booking visits and taking notes Work on cross-administrative assignments within skills supply Carry out assignments from the management group, for example within audit reviews, work processes, and information materials Cooperate with schools in both upper secondary and adult education Qualifications You have higher education in, for example, social work, behavioral science, or another field that the employer deems relevant to the position. Experience working with people who have physical and/or mental limitations. You have good administrative skills and are experienced in working with follow-up, finances, and good computer skills. To succeed in the role, you are a confident, engaged, solution-oriented colleague who is communicative and cooperation-oriented. You are organized with good prioritization skills and are responsive with a genuine interest in people. We place great importance on personal suitability. B-class driving license required. Within the framework of the national minority language law, Gällivare Municipality is an administrative municipality for Sámi, Meänkieli, and Finnish. Knowledge of any of these languages is meriting in applications for employment in Gällivare Municipality. Work Time/Duration Full-time, permanent employment. Probation may be applied.
