Description Would you like to be part of developing accessible training environments that contribute to improved public health and the joy of movement? We are now seeking a coordinator who will play a key role in coordinating quality assurance, development work, and training initiatives within the wellness department, with a focus on our gym and activity spaces both indoors and outdoors. The Gym Coordinator will be organized under the Wellness Center West unit and be part of the Swimming and Wellness operations area. In this role, you will coordinate gym-related matters for the entire department. You will be based at Skatås but work across the city. The work involves close collaboration with operations, suppliers, contractors, and other external partners. You will work both strategically and operatively to develop the business based on operational goals, target group needs, and current research. Responsibilities In this role, you will among other things: Plan and conduct training initiatives for instructors and staff Evaluate and develop the department's training offerings with a particular focus on low-threshold training and target groups far from physical activity Follow current research in wellness and public health and translate knowledge into practical operational development work Lead and coordinate working groups and collaboration forums as a representative of the operation Take responsibility for development, operation, and quality assurance of gyms and activity spaces Participate in development and construction projects related to gym and activity spaces Take responsibility for procurement, purchasing, and contract follow-up within the operational area Take responsibility for documentation and administration in the department's IT systems Qualifications We seek someone with post-secondary education in public health, wellness, or other education that the employer deems equivalent. You have experience working in wellness, gym operations, or other training-related activities. To succeed in this role, we see that you have experience in operations development, coordination, or project management. You have experience with procurement, purchasing, or contract follow-up. The role requires good administrative skills and experience working in digital systems. You have good ability to express yourself in speech and writing. A class B driver's license is required so you can travel to our facilities. It is an advantage if you have experience working with target groups far from physical activity. We welcome experience working in public operations. Experience with gym equipment operation and maintenance is also an asset. As a coordinator, you take initiative, start activities, and achieve results whether working alone or with others. You have strong commitment to your work and genuine interest in public health issues, driven by creating accessible and inclusive training environments where more people have the opportunity to be physically active. You have good understanding of how individuals acquire knowledge and adapt your way of communicating your message to the recipient. You encourage dialogue, participation, and engagement. As a coordinator, you take responsibility for your and the group's work tasks and follow up on results and how they function in the operation. You build good relationships in the workplace and collaborate well with others by listening, showing interest, and respect. Welcome to apply! Conditions The position is 40 hours/week with a flexible time agreement. There is an opportunity to work from home on occasional days as operations permit.
