The Sámi Parliament is the administrative authority for Sámi culture. We shall work to promote a living Sámi culture, take initiatives for activities, and propose measures that advance this culture. Job Responsibilities Your responsibilities will include handling cultural grants, compiling statistics for, for example, annual reports and conducting financial follow-ups. You will investigate and prepare cases within the cultural field and respond to requests for consultation. You will also provide support to the Sámi Parliament's cultural policymakers. You will collaborate with various cultural actors and authorities. Other responsibilities may occur. Travel is part of the position. Your Qualifications We are looking for someone with a university or college degree in culture or another field that the employer finds relevant, or equivalent work experience. You should have strong knowledge of Sámi culture and cultural life. You should be able to express yourself well in speech and writing. Knowledge of the Sámi language is an asset. Previous experience with case management and grant administration as well as financial follow-ups is also an asset. Basic knowledge of economics and experience in public administration and politically governed activities is desirable. Personal Qualities You are self-driven and solution-oriented. You plan, organize, and carry out your work in a structured and efficient manner. It is important that you are flexible and have strong collaboration skills, as we work with varying assignments and different partners. Employment Type Full-time. Permanent position.
