As a Sales Associate at Coop Älvängen, you are responsible for performing all common tasks in the store and ensuring the best possible customer service. You are an important face of the company and work according to Coop's guidelines, procedures, and values. You are a key person in customer interactions and in creating a pleasant and inspiring store.
We are looking for someone who is service-oriented, positive, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where you meet many people every day. You take responsibility, collaborate well with others, and actively contribute to an inclusive work environment. To succeed in this role, we see that you have good physical condition as the work can involve heavy lifting, and that you have a strong desire to learn and develop in your role.
We want someone with experience and/or training in delicatessen work. We have a large manual deli and fish counter. We sell a lot of prepared food and cheese over the counter and have a large production of both food we package in the store and for catering.
Main Responsibilities
Operate the manual deli counter
Manage manual fish sales
Food production, sandwich cakes, and other items for sale
Stock items and ensure the counter and shelves are neat
Build attractive product displays
Handle complaints and grievances according to procedures
Quality control, cleaning, and organization in the store, storage, and staff areas
Maintenance and cleaning of machines and equipment
Follow inventory and waste reduction procedures
Contribute to continuous improvements and a good work environment
Depending on store needs, you may also work with:
Product ordering
Returns, receiving inspections, and delivery notes
CAO system management
Price labeling and promotional signage
Price changes
Opening and closing the store according to current procedures.

This position is a part-time employment of 35 h/week with start date by agreement. Working hours vary and are scheduled for day and evening shifts as well as weekends. We use a trial period. Recruitment is ongoing and the position may be filled before the final application deadline.
Requirements
Good Swedish in speech and writing is required
18 years of age, as you must be able to work independently at the checkout
Meritorious:
Experience and competence from retail and/or other service professions are advantageous
Secondary school education.
Multilingual abilities.
Basic knowledge of retail economics or food handling.
Experience from a manual delicatessen counter
