About the Position The Protection Department delivers security and safety services primarily to protected facilities in the Stockholm area. Our committed and well-trained security officers monitor and safeguard some of our most important public institutions and authorities in the capital. As a security personnel handler in personnel security, you'll become a trusted and valuable resource for the entire organization. You work closely with people and build trust by creating secure processes that protect both individuals and operations. The role is about listening, analyzing, and providing support – while contributing to an open and respectful work environment where security is a natural part of daily life. Working Hours: Monday–Friday, holidays off Work Location: Stockholm Duration: Full-time, indefinite (6-month probation period) Start Date: By agreement Responsibilities In this role, you work closely with people and create security by ensuring that the right individuals have access to sensitive information. You conduct security vetting and interviews in a respectful and attentive manner, analyze background information, and provide support to managers and colleagues in important decisions. You contribute to developing procedures and methods that make work smooth and secure, while serving as a natural point of contact for personnel security matters. Through collaboration and dialogue, you build trust and help the organization grow in a safe and sustainable direction. Qualifications We're looking for someone who enjoys creating security and building trust. You have a strong ability to listen, analyze, and make well-founded decisions, while being thorough and possessing high integrity. The role suits you if you're comfortable working in a structured way and see the value in collaboration and dialogue – both with colleagues and external partners. It's important that you're organized, meet deadlines easily, and possess very strong administrative skills. You're curious about people, treat others with respect, and can explain complex issues in a simple and clear manner. Beyond the personal qualities requested, you meet the following requirements: Post-secondary education or equivalent expertise in the security vetting field Excellent Swedish, both spoken and written Good computer skills and relevant knowledge of Office365 You need to be law-abiding*, drug-free, have your finances in order, possess upper secondary school competence, and be in good health and physical condition to be employed at Avarn Security. It's an advantage if you have experience conducting security vetting interviews and investigations related to personnel security. IMPORTANT! This position is classified as a security-classified role and is subject to security vetting according to Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act (2018:585). For positions in certain security classifications, Swedish citizenship is required according to security protection legislation. *All personnel at an authorized security company must be approved in a vetting regarding lawfulness, civic reliability, and general suitability. For the vetting authority's assessment of a person's lawfulness and civic reliability, information from the criminal record register, suspicion register, or information held by the Security Police under the Police Data Processing Act within the scope of the Crime Data Act will be obtained.
