About the Position
As a security coordinator specializing in internal security, you will work to develop and coordinate the municipality's strategic and operational efforts in this area. You will be part of the municipality's central security unit, which consists of a security chief, operations manager, security coordinators, and an information security coordinator. Our mission is to support the municipality's sectors and operations with security and safety-building work.
Key Responsibilities
Main tasks include:
Supporting and training managers, employees, and elected officials on matters related to threats and violence, threat assessments, and action planning.
Assisting operations during incidents.
You will be responsible for developing and improving procedures and processes within internal security.
Coordinating the municipality's work with personal alarms and cameras.
Participating in security planning for the municipality's various events.
Coordinating the municipality's contracted security services.
Serving as an advisor on internal security matters and participating in networks and cooperation with other stakeholders.
We work closely together within the unit, and we have good understanding of each other's tasks and the unit's collective responsibility and mission. You and your colleagues may need to support each other within our various areas of responsibility.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with relevant post-secondary education, for example in social sciences, law, criminology, or security and safety. You have good knowledge of current legislation in the field and experience working with internal security, preferably from the public sector or a government agency.
You have strong competence and experience with threat and risk assessments as well as incident management. You also have good ability to communicate, both in writing and orally in Swedish, and work with high integrity and good judgment. It is also important that you have experience handling sensitive information.
It is a merit if you have experience in crisis management, security protection, and security technical solutions.
