The position of Security Coordinator belongs to the Safety and Security Unit, which is part of the Municipal Administration and reports directly to the Municipal Director. Our mission is to strategically lead and coordinate the municipality's safety and security work. We work with, among other things, crime prevention, information security, data protection, security protection, crisis preparedness and civil defense, internal security, and insurance. Within these areas, we work in a supporting capacity toward the municipality's operations.
Your Assignment
As a Security Coordinator, you have a central role in supporting the municipality's operations in systematic security work. In your assignment, you lead the municipality's strategic crime prevention work based on the laws we must comply with. This takes place in close collaboration with the police authority.
Within the unit, we have different main areas for which we are responsible, but we view the work as a team effort and support each other. We work closely with the municipality's various departments to support them in measures within the areas we are responsible for.
The work includes holding information sessions and training, developing and being responsible for various policy documents and plans, responding to consultations, and more. Collaboration is a large part of the work, both internally and externally.
Your main tasks will include:
Coordination of crime prevention work in relation to legal requirements in the municipality
Actively contribute to developing and managing the municipality's crime prevention work
Development of situation assessments, mapping, root cause analysis, action plans
Participation in planning, implementation, and follow-up of crime prevention measures
Lead and coordinate the local crime prevention council
Coordinate the municipality's alcohol, drugs, tobacco, and doping work
Coordinate the work with the municipality's insurance
Hold information sessions and presentations
Your Profile
We are looking for you with an academic degree, preferably in criminology, crime prevention work, or other education and/or experience that the employer deems equivalent. You have good knowledge of the Office suite, a valid category B driving license, and Swedish citizenship.

You are organized, self-directed, and have the ability to plan, prioritize, and carry out your work within given timeframes. Your combination of analytical ability, holistic perspective, and good judgment means you can contribute to both safety and development in the organization.
It is meritorious if you have:
Knowledge and/or experience from work with crime prevention, internal protection and personal security, security protection, information security, or civil preparedness
Experience with investigation work, project management, and leading groups
Previous work with collaboration with authorities or other stakeholders in crime prevention or security matters
Experience with the EST method
Experience with alcohol, drugs, tobacco, and doping work
Experience with insurance work
Previous work experience in public operations
Information about the Position
The position will be placed in a security classification. A security clearance with background check will be conducted before employment. Approved security clearance is required for employment.
