What does a Security Officer do?
As a Security Officer at the Service Unit at the Swedish Migration Agency, you will be part of an agency-wide resource regarding operational security matters for the Migration Agency's shared administrative premises, storage facilities, and also for our residential facilities within the geographical region. Together with the Migration Agency's Security Department, the service units are responsible for expertise in several security areas.
As a Security Officer, you will have coordination and follow-up responsibility for systematic fire protection work, access control, physical premises security, CCTV, surveillance and alarm handling, security risk analysis, security, crisis and evacuation planning, as well as badge and authorization administration. You work in consultation with operations as well as with other security officers and employees in the unit and at other service units. The work involves official travel, both within the region and outside the region.
You act as an advisor and provide support to other units in operations. To be able to contribute to this, environmental monitoring with networking both within and outside the agency is required. You have local client responsibility within the security area. Furthermore, you are the unit's contact person with our security system providers, locks/alarms/access control, surveillance and fire protection.
Finally, you contribute to improvement work by conducting certain analyses and follow-ups within all areas and planning measures together with other security officers and employees in the unit, but also in the national network of security officers available at the service units. You follow up and remedy any deficiencies based on inspection reports in our shared premises. You are responsible for managing technical systems within the security area and manage and develop routines within your area of responsibility.

You who are applying have
Post-secondary education with a focus on technical security, risk or crisis management or other equivalent education in combination with work experience that the employer deems equivalent
Experience in continuity planning (disaster plan/contingency plan)
Knowledge of applicable legislation regarding the security protection act, work environment act, etc.
Good communicative ability and you can express yourself well in speech and writing, in both Swedish and English
Good knowledge of MS Office
Category B driving license
Swedish citizenship
It is meritorious if you have
Experience in security work within public operations
Knowledge of security procedures in locked environments
Experience in practical security technology connected via Unison or other comprehensive alarm management systems
Experience working in project form with premises security
Experience in practical systematic fire protection work
Experience working according to activity-based working methods
Security vetting with background checks according to the security protection act (2018:585) will be conducted. Based on this, Swedish citizenship is required. Employment is conditional on approved security vetting.
