About the Swedish Prison and Probation Service

Job Description
Security handlers have a central role in the facility's security organization and are responsible for monitoring, following up on, and analyzing daily security work as well as incidents that occur. Security handlers are also responsible for improving and streamlining security work in accordance with applicable regulations. The role includes processing approvals for visits and telephone access. The position also includes quality assurance and reviews of local regulations, security assessments, and responsibility for the detention center's drug prevention work. Collaboration with the security department at headquarters, the police authority, and other actors in the justice system is included, as well as primarily other security handlers in the region.
Security handlers also function as a coordinating resource for exercise activities and internal training, together with exercise leaders, security officers, and instructors
Qualifications
As a person, you are pedagogical and have a good understanding of people's different capacities to receive your message, and you should be able to adapt your way of conveying your message based on the recipient.
You should be able to manage multiple thought processes simultaneously, and work within the mindset that "a new Prison and Probation Service requires new solutions."
We also see that you take initiative, start processes, and achieve results by planning, organizing, and prioritizing work in an efficient manner. You are analytical and make correct assessments and have the ability to weigh together complex information with different types of considerations. You can establish new contacts and maintain existing relationships.
You will work in a team with three additional security handlers, which demands that you are a team player, while also taking individual responsibility. "Team before self" should be among your core values.

We are seeking someone who has:
Approved Swedish Prison and Probation Service training
Current work experience within the Swedish Prison and Probation Service
Ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish
It is also a merit to have:
Swedish Prison and Probation Service internal security training such as incident management and duty officer leadership training, alarm chief, exercise leader, etc.
Experience of previously working as a security handler or other experience that the Swedish Prison and Probation Service considers relevant and equivalent
Experience and knowledge of ISAP, drug prevention work, the security manual, security assessments, etc.
Regional/National experience of operations at both operational and strategic levels
Experience as an instructor in conflict management/OC/Baton
