Rosersberg Prison Rosersberg Prison is located north of Stockholm and is a security class 2 facility. In addition to prison places, there are also a number of remand places. The workplace is characterized by a family-like environment where different professional groups work closely together. There are also good commuting options within walking distance to commuter trains as well as access to staff parking. Operations Area Rosersberg is one of the first operational areas to receive inmates aged 15-17 years. The operational area also conducts remand activities for this age group. The new assignment replaces previous closed youth care as a custodial sentence for children and young people who commit serious crimes. The focus will be on creating safe environments that promote reintegration into society with operational activities including school, student health services, employment, and leisure activities appropriate to age. Otherwise, the child's rights during execution shall be safeguarded in accordance with the Convention on the Rights of the Child. We are now seeking a security officer on a one-year temporary contract at Rosersberg Prison. Welcome to apply! Job Description As a security officer, you will report to the prison security inspector and be part of the local security organization. You will work both administratively and operatively with security-related matters. You will have an advisory function within security to the management group and working groups, and participate in security forums both internally and externally. In the role of security officer, you will spend much of your time investigating and analyzing security-related matters. You will work broadly and your working days will vary depending on operational needs. Together with your colleague, you will plan, implement, and follow up on work within the security area to assist departments in their mission but also to conduct meetings and skills development for the operations. The nature of the work does not allow for remote work, but with a flexible time agreement you will have freedom within given parameters to plan your working day based on operational needs and your personal circumstances. Qualifications Your personal qualities are crucial. As a security officer, it is important that you have the ability to plan your work independently both long-term and short-term. The role requires that you have good collaboration skills and can cooperate with prioritized actors in given areas. You need to understand your role but ensure the best interests of the entire operation in your actions and decisions. Furthermore, it is important that you have pedagogical insight and problem-solving analytical abilities. We are looking for someone who has: Fluent Swedish in speech and writing Worked with both operational and strategic security work within the Swedish Prison and Probation Service Good knowledge of facility coordination and the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's security handbook Good IT skills and administrative ability Experience coordinating and working with fire safety work Experience working with civil contingency planning We consider the following as merits: Experience working as a security officer Experience working as an alarm chief or duty officer Qualification as an exercise leader and experience with exercise activities Experience with incident management Good knowledge of laws and regulations related to security work Good experience in compiling and preparing decision documentation Interviews In this recruitment, the selection process begins after the advertising period has ended and interviews will take place on October 5-6 at Rosersberg Prison.
