SIA "Rīgas nami" is a capital company of Riga City Municipality, whose main areas of operation are preservation of cultural and historical heritage, property development, management and maintenance, market operations, and cultural events at the cinema "Splendid Palace" and Melngalvju House. SIA "Rīgas nami" invites applications for: Head of Technical Maintenance Department WE OFFER: a work location in Riga, Nēģu Street 7, Central Market territory; monthly salary of 3200 EUR (gross); health insurance (after probation period) and other additional benefits stipulated in the collective agreement, parking space; flexible working hours; professional development opportunities. YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR: planning, organizing, managing, and coordinating the work of Department staff in accordance with established goals and objectives; ensuring the operation of engineering infrastructure and technological equipment, including hazardous equipment, in facilities and territories managed by the Company (Central Market and Latgale Market) (electrical networks, electricity metering devices, lighting equipment, water and sewage networks, water consumption data recording, heat supply facilities and heat exchange station, ventilation equipment, elevators, refrigeration equipment, and other equipment); analyzing and optimizing costs while maintaining high service quality; planning and monitoring the department budget and efficiently managing resources; organizing and controlling emergency work and elimination of emergency consequences; planning and ensuring the implementation of planned maintenance work for electrical supply, ventilation, heating, water supply, sewage, elevators, and other systems to keep them operational; ensuring inspection of engineering infrastructure, systems, and equipment and initial assessment of work scope and estimation of approximate costs and preparation of technical documentation; reviewing reports and work acceptance–handover certificates; preparing internal reports, internal procedures, regulatory acts, correspondence, and other documents. WE EXPECT YOU TO HAVE: professional higher education (in management or technical sciences); professional experience in a management position of at least 3 years and experience in planning, managing, coordinating, and controlling departmental work; skills to prepare procurement documentation, technical specifications (services, supplies, repair work, etc.); skills to prepare internal documents and regulatory acts; ability to accurately identify technical problems and facts relevant to their resolution, and select the most cost-effective and efficient method for problem-solving; good digital skills and information system usage skills (e.g., Namejs, Frontu, or similar); analytical thinking, accuracy, excellent cooperation and communication skills, results-oriented approach, ability to manage and lead your team; state language proficiency at C2 level.
