The Military Intelligence and Security Service (Must) conducts defense intelligence operations and military intelligence and security services to support Swedish foreign, defense and security policy, as well as for mapping external threats to Sweden. Access to space capabilities and space services for navigation, communication and surveillance is crucial for the Swedish Armed Forces to be able to operate safely and effectively, both today and in the future Main responsibilities As a Space Analyst at Must, you contribute to the development of the Swedish Armed Forces' space-related capabilities and ensure that the intelligence and security function has the right conditions to utilize information and services from the space sector. The role involves work both with the development of central functions and with issues related to integration and coordination throughout the organization. The main responsibilities are to: Support the development of the organization's space-related capabilities and functions. Identify, explore and analyze relevant information sources and space services. Contribute to work with procuring, adapting and making information accessible for operational needs. Participate in the development of methods, processes and working practices related to the use of space-based information. Work with integration issues to ensure that space capabilities and space services can be utilized within the Swedish Armed Forces. Cooperate with other functions and actors on issues related to the development and use of space capabilities. Participate in investigation, development and coordination work within the area of responsibility. About the unit The unit at Must is responsible for developing and strengthening the organization's ability to use space-based information and services. The operations include work to identify, procure, adapt and make relevant information accessible to different parts of the organization. Work is carried out in close cooperation with both internal and external actors to ensure that space-related capabilities are integrated and developed based on operational needs. Personal qualities We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in the space sector and who is driven by understanding complex relationships, technical systems and new development opportunities. You are therefore curious and knowledge-seeking, stay updated within your field and enjoy deepening your knowledge. You act with high integrity and sound judgment in your work. You take responsibility for your tasks, make well-founded assessments and have a high security awareness in handling information and materials. The role requires that you can adapt to changed conditions and handle multiple parallel tasks. You are flexible in your approach, maintain focus when the pace increases and have the ability to prioritize based on operational needs. Because the work involves many contact points, it is important that you collaborate well with others. You contribute to a good cooperation climate, build trusting relationships and cooperate effectively with different functions and competencies to achieve common goals. Requirements: University degree at least at bachelor level with a focus on space engineering, surveying, physical geography or alternatively equivalent military experience. Express yourself fluently in both speech and writing in Swedish as well as in English Meriting: At least two years of experience with image analysis in intelligence production Experience of planning and development work Skills in function-specific technical processes such as programming, artificial intelligence, processing or automation Previous service at a defense intelligence agency Express yourself fluently in both speech and writing in other European languages The above stated qualifications should be verifiable upon request through certificates, references and work or selection tests. In addition to qualifications and merits, great emphasis is placed on personal qualities, assessed suitability and employability.
