WORK RESPONSIBILITIES To the Roads/Water and Wastewater Unit, we are seeking a pipe network technician for investigations and work on water and wastewater pipeline networks. You will be part of the Water and Wastewater group, which consists of ten people, and work in a team focused on water and wastewater pipeline networks and subscribers. We are looking for someone with experience in the construction industry. You will work with planning, investigations, and implementation of repairs, maintenance, and renewal work on the water and wastewater network. In your role as a pipe network technician, you will manage and oversee facility work and participate in work planning, ordering materials, connections to water and wastewater lines, and more. Emergency work is also included, such as leak detection and repair, handling blockages, or other operational disruptions on the sewer network. You will have some contact with property owners regarding connections and any necessary measures on private land. You will be responsible for ordering investigations on the pipeline network in cases where the municipality's own equipment is insufficient. Part of your responsibilities includes identifying weak points in the pipeline network and planning measures to address problem areas. We work based on a digital water and wastewater map. Your work tasks include completing and refining the municipality's GIS data regarding pipeline networks. You are comfortable working independently as well as in a group, are flexible, thorough, responsible, have good organizational skills, and high service awareness. You must be able to plan your work day and find flexible solutions. The work area is broad and the opportunities to influence your work are good. You are part of delivering the unit's long-term goals regarding well-functioning and sustainable water and wastewater systems. On-call duty is part of the unit's operations and may occur within the position. Placement is at the fire station in Vårgårda, where parts of the water and wastewater group are located. Working hours are usually 7-16 with the possibility of individual adjustment. QUALIFICATIONS Requirements: - You have upper secondary education or other equivalent education in the construction and facility field with a focus on water and wastewater facilities and ground coverings. - Certified operator license for excavating machines (the municipality owns its own wheeled loader that we use for work) - You have a Class B driver's license. - Computer proficiency to manage Office packages and handle digital invoices. - You understand, speak, read, and write Swedish without difficulty. - The position is security classified and a security clearance will be conducted before employment takes effect. Merits: - Training in Work on Roads - Multiple driver's licenses, such as BE - Ability to read and interpret information on water and wastewater pipeline maps. - Have completed Swedish Water's Diploma Course for pipeline networks. - Local knowledge, as we work in Vårgårda town, Lagmansholm, and Östadkulle - Knowledge of quality requirements for water and wastewater pipeline networks such as pressure, flow, and dimensioning Employment form: Permanent employment.
