Try something new, exchange experiences and discover what you really love doing We are now looking for pipe fitters for our unique production at one of the world's most modern shipyards. In your role as a pipe fitter, your main responsibilities will be focused on the manufacturing and assembly of piping systems in new construction, reconstruction and maintenance of submarines and surface vessels. We use welding methods such as TIG and orbital welding. The piping systems include materials such as stainless steel, copper-nickel, copper, titanium and unalloyed steel. This makes the work highly varied and provides excellent opportunities to develop your craft and professional skills. To succeed as a pipe fitter with us, we see that you are collaborative, solution-oriented and thorough. Your Profile Requirements Secondary education in plumbing/HVAC or equivalent Knowledge of reading drawings and diagrams as well as good knowledge of materials and welding consumables Basic computer skills Meritorious Experience with brazing, TIG welding and if you hold a welding license. Previous experience processing material through drilling, threading, bending and cutting. Knowledge of fastening and measurement techniques The position requires that you undergo and are approved according to applicable security regulations in effect at any given time. For positions where Saab has requirements for security clearance classification, this may, where applicable, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
