These are supported by a Finance Department, Project Department, and Administrative Staff. The Division employs approximately 400 employees and generates over 1 billion kronor in annual revenue. Our commissioners are the Municipal Board, the Environmental and Community Development Board, and the Culture and Leisure Board.
Nyköping Water is responsible for all water and wastewater operations within the municipality, including operation, maintenance, and development of water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, and pipe networks. The operations include 7 water treatment plants, 3 water towers, 12 wastewater treatment plants, 90 wastewater pumping stations, a 90-mil pipe network, and its own water laboratory.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Nyköping is an expanding municipality, which requires a well-developed and functioning pipe network for the residents. We are now seeking a Pipe Fitter for the Pipe Network unit at Nyköping Water. As a pipe fitter, you will work on installing new pipes as well as operating, maintaining, and servicing the existing pipe network. You will also handle emergency situations such as water line leaks and sewer blockages.
On-call duty may be included according to schedule.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone who has:
- Completed high school education with a focus on pipe fitting/construction work, or equivalent work experience as assessed by the employer
- Experience as a pipe fitter
- Good ability to communicate in Swedish, both orally and in writing
- Good computer skills
- Class B driver's license
