Description Radiology offers you a developmental and creative workplace with pleasant interactions between colleagues, patients, and their families. The department is an important part of the care chain, which means you will meet many different patients from various departments and workflows throughout the hospital. The department is highly technological and continuously developing to better meet today's and tomorrow's challenges. Radiology is located at Sahlgrenska, Östra, and Mölndal hospitals but operates as a unified department to promote collaboration. Radiology Mölndal A radiological department with primary focus on orthopedic examinations as well as general medicine. Modalities include CT, MR, ultrasound, and conventional equipment. The unit also has mobile radiography where we perform radiographic examinations in facilities outside the hospital. We offer you development opportunities and proximity to research. Job Responsibilities You will collaborate with radiologic technologists, physicians, and/or nursing assistants. Together you will work based on the different competencies you have as well as each patient's unique circumstances and needs. A major focus for us in radiology is that everyone should feel satisfied and experience job satisfaction. You will be employed on shifts covering all hours of the day. About You We are seeking a licensed radiologic technologist. You have good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written. Experience working in a hospital/acute care/radiology and MR competency are considered merits. An acute hospital involves varied patient flow, so you need to be able to remain calm in stressful situations and be flexible in your work approach. For newly graduated radiologic technologists or those with less than 4 months of professional experience, Sahlgrenska University Hospital offers enhanced professional introduction (clinical foundation year) during the first year. As a radiologic technologist, you must be confident, stable, and flexible in your professional role, which is required to make decisions at a varying pace. You enjoy collaborating, communicating, and being creative, which is a large part of work in radiology since you have extensive contact with various partners throughout the hospital. It is important that you have both interest, willingness, and ability to help others and deliver good quality. Together with us, you want to drive radiology forward in an exciting development. Meet some of our employees - Sahlgrenska University Hospital If you are a newly graduated nurse, you will participate in the Clinical Foundation Year, which is our introduction program. The Clinical Foundation Year is mandatory and lasts during your first year of employment with us. The Clinical Foundation Year includes lectures, nursing mentoring, and practical training in your profession at the Simulation Center. In addition, you will work at least two different departments to broaden your competency. In the event of recruitment of nurses/physicians with foreign credentials/specialist certification, the position will be preceded by a process to meet the requirements for Swedish credentials/specialist certification.
