The Red Cross Treatment Center is a unique resource in healthcare by being entirely focused on treatment for migrants suffering from severe mental health issues related to war, flight, persecution or torture. Many of the patients have themselves been exposed to war- and flight-related violence, abuse and threats, while others have been traumatized by witnessing how relatives have been affected.
How do we work?
The Red Cross Treatment Center in Skövde has a branch at Restad Gård in Vänersborg, the Nordic region's largest asylum accommodation. We provide treatment for people with a migrant background suffering from severe mental health issues regardless of legal status. Our team includes psychologists, psychotherapists, physiotherapists, counselors, administrators, leaders for children's activities, peer supporters and consulting physicians.

Who is solution-focused and self-directed
Who has good collaboration skills across all professional boundaries
Who has previous experience working with people with severe mental health issues
Who works with basic body awareness and has experience with pain-related issues
In your work, which often takes place through an interpreter, you meet people from all over the world, and it is therefore advantageous if you are experienced in working where you meet people from all over the world.

The position is a permanent employment at our treatment branch in Vänersborg with some service time in Skövde. Start date 1/12. Last application date is 20/9. We interview continuously so the position can be filled earlier if a suitable candidate is found.
