Job Description As a Robot Programmer in Industrial Automation at AFRY, you will play a key role in developing and implementing automation solutions of the future for Swedish industry. You will work with advanced robot applications throughout the entire project lifecycle, from concept development and programming to commissioning, optimization and technical support. In this role, you combine technical expertise with creative problem-solving to create efficient, safe and reliable solutions that meet our customers' needs. You will collaborate closely with customers, colleagues and suppliers in technically complex projects where you have the opportunity to influence both solutions and working methods. At AFRY, you will work in a varied day-to-day environment where no two weeks are alike. You will contribute your expertise in both customer projects and internal development initiatives while continuing to develop within robotics and industrial automation. Your main areas of responsibility: Systems engineering and programming of robot applications for various industrial processes Integration with PLC, HMI and SCADA systems to ensure a complete automation solution Commissioning and optimization of robot cells and associated control systems Troubleshooting and problem-solving for technical challenges, both during the project phase and in customer support Ensuring that solutions meet high requirements for functionality, quality and safety Examples of work tasks during a typical week: Participate in bidding work by developing technical solutions and estimates for customer installations Work in project teams with design, programming, simulation and testing of robot applications Perform troubleshooting at customer sites to quickly resolve operational issues and minimize production downtime Support customer organizations through consulting assignments where you contribute specialized expertise in robotics and automation The role offers great opportunities to shape your own development. Qualifications Collaboration is essential – you work closely with colleagues, suppliers and subcontractors to achieve common goals. You need to have high stress tolerance, which means you think logically and radiate calm and confidence even in pressured situations. Finally, you are driven and ambitious – you take initiative and willingly step into the role of leading programmer when required. Requirements Minimum 5 years of experience programming robot applications Documented experience with simulation, programming and commissioning of robots from manufacturers ABB, KUKA, Yaskawa or Fanuc Relevant technical education in automation, mechatronics or equivalent Knowledge of simulation, programming and commissioning of robots Swedish, both spoken and written Class B driver's license Meritorious Experience with programming in PLC, HMI and SCADA systems Knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems such as ABB, Siemens, Allen Bradley, Intouch, Citect, Ignition Specialization in robot technology or industrial automation English, both spoken and written Additional Information Welcome to submit your application; the final application deadline is 2025-09-30.
