About Smedjebackens Ryttarsällskap Smedjebackens Ryttarsällskap is an association in Morgårdshammar, Smedjebackens municipality, founded in 1999. We have approximately 150 members and serve as an important gathering place for children, youth, and adults with a shared passion for horses and equestrian sports. We operate riding activities Monday–Saturday in our indoor arena, outdoor riding area, and nearby forest. The facility is also used by the association's private riders and members. We also have a member stables with 14 boxes for private horse boarding. We work to create a safe, developing, and welcoming environment where there is room for everyone – regardless of age and experience. About the Position We are seeking an engaged and pedagogical riding school manager who is passionate about horses, people, and equestrian sports and wants to help develop our association and riding school operations. As riding school manager, you will have a varied and responsible role where you both lead the operations and are an active part of daily management. You work closely with other staff members and the board serves as your immediate employer. The role requires you to be independent, structured, and confident in your leadership. You need to be able to take responsibility and drive the work forward based on the guidelines and goals decided by the board. The position includes: • Manage and develop riding school operations • Plan and conduct riding lessons • Manage work environment, personnel, and finances • Lead, support, and develop staff • Schedule personnel, horses, and riding groups • Plan and follow up on terms and operations • Plan and organize riding camps and other activities • Participate in daily stable work • Manage and contribute to the training and development of the riding school's horses • Collaborate with the board, staff, students, parents, and other members • Work actively to develop students, horses, and operations The work includes both daytime and evening hours. We Are Looking for You If You • Are a certified riding instructor, SRL Level I–III, or have equivalent experience that we consider comparable • Have experience managing or developing riding school operations • Have leadership experience and enjoy developing people • Have experience with budget monitoring • Are structured, responsible, and self-directed • Have good communication skills and work well collaboratively • Are positive, engaged, and have a good manner with people • Are passionate about developing staff, horses, students, and the association's operations • Advantageous: BE/B96 driver's license category We Offer With us, you get a fun, varied, and developmental role where you have the opportunity to make an impact and help shape the future of the riding school.
