The Ministry of Transport announces a competition for the position of an independent audit committee member at the state-owned joint-stock company "Latvijas Pasts"
Mandatory minimum requirements for candidates for the position of independent audit committee member at VAS "Latvijas Pasts":
impeccable reputation;
academic higher education or second-level professional higher education in economics, business, management sciences, finance, or a comparable field;
state language proficiency at C1 level;
work experience (preferably acquired in the last 10 years) in the preparation of sustainability reports or the provision of sustainability report assurance;
knowledge and understanding of VAS "Latvijas Pasts" operations in the sector;
compliance with the requirements set out in sections 3, 4, and 5 of Article 55.6 of the Financial Instruments Market Law, the restrictions on holding multiple offices of a state official as set out in the Law "On the Prevention of Conflict of Interest in the Activities of State Officials", the procedures for compliance with the restrictions on holding multiple offices as set out in Articles 8 and 8.1, and the prevention of other possible conflicts of interest if elected to the audit committee;
English language skills not lower than B2 level in accordance with the European Common Framework of Reference for Languages. English language knowledge is necessary for work with the application of international legal acts, contract evaluation, and other legal documents available only in English.
To fulfill the duties of an independent audit committee member at VAS "Latvijas Pasts", the following competencies are required: strategic vision, results orientation, planning and organization. Restrictions for candidates are set out in sections 3, 4, and 5 of Article 55.6 of the Financial Instruments Market Law.
Monthly remuneration for audit committee members (gross): 1000 EUR.

a copy of a document certifying higher education (if higher education was obtained abroad, a document confirming its academic recognition in Latvia is attached);
a copy of a document certifying state language proficiency (submitted by a candidate who did not obtain education in the state language);

2) that the candidate will comply with the established restrictions on holding multiple offices of a state official as set out in Articles 8 and 8.1 of the Law "On the Prevention of Conflict of Interest in the Activities of State Officials", will prevent possible conflicts of interest if elected to the position of audit committee member;
3) other documents demonstrating compliance with the requirements set for the candidate.

We inform you that for candidates who are selected for the second evaluation round, the nomination committee will request that within five working days you submit a strategic vision (in presentation format, up to 10 minutes) on the work of the VAS "Latvijas Pasts" audit committee and the main future challenges, as well as provide insights into the audit committee's work priorities and suggestions for their implementation.
The selection and evaluation process for candidates for the position of audit committee member at the state-owned joint-stock company "Latvijas Pasts" will be carried out by the Nomination Commission with the following composition:
