Job Description We have a lot going on and to meet the growing demand for our services, we are now looking for you to work as an Electrical Inspection Engineer. We conduct inspections of electrical and fire protection systems, perform height work on masts and towers to inspect steel structures, radio communication equipment, wind turbines, and control and inspection of shelters. We also work with design and inspection of solar cells, inspection and control of telecommunications facilities, construction site safety coordination, and as the responsible inspector according to the Planning and Building Act, and much more. Our customers range from municipalities, property owners, regions, and the Swedish Church, to contractors, public services, and industry. The role as Inspection Engineer within the Public and Commercial Places segment primarily involves inspection of electrical installations/systems, mainly within real estate, industry, and public administration. There are also opportunities within the role to work with electrical safety investigations, risk analyses, thermography, contractor inspections, or other investigations and possibly design of electrical systems. The work requires good knowledge, both practical and theoretical. At our offices you will meet colleagues from both your own electrical section and from other sections within other disciplines such as HVAC, Energy, Fire Safety, Controls, and more. In Karlstad, you will work closely with other inspection engineers. You will be part of a group of engaged and open colleagues who readily share their knowledge and experience. Over time, other types of inspections not involving electrical work may also become relevant for the right person. For those who demonstrate successful delivery as an inspection engineer, opportunities for further training to inspect other specializations may open up. Your base will be our Karlstad office, where you will work on preparing inspection reports, booking new inspections, and handling administration, but the role also includes time in the field conducting inspections. Qualifications We are looking for a colleague who is interested in technology and keeps up with current regulations. Of course, there is a supportive team of colleagues around you. It comes naturally to you to contact customers. You communicate openly, honestly, and are not afraid to stand up for the errors and deficiencies identified in an inspection report, while being service-oriented and collaborative in your communication with customers. It will be important that you can adhere to rules, procedures, processes, and demonstrate high integrity in your role as an inspection engineer, as it can at times be a demanding role. At the same time, adaptability and responsiveness to customer and team expectations are required. You have a humble attitude and can both receive and give feedback. In this role, both the personal qualities mentioned above and technical competencies are important for success in dialogue and delivery. We are looking for someone with at least one year of experience as an electrical engineer or an experienced electrician with experience leading and taking responsibility. You need to have broad and many years of experience in the electrical field, both theoretical and practical, as well as several years of experience working with industrial facilities or power grids. You have an Electrical Power Engineering degree or equivalent with a focus on electrical systems. It is a merit if you are a certified Thermographer or hold a certification from the Electrical Board and have worked for some time as an electrical inspection engineer. Experience from industrial electrical systems, switchgear, transformers, or backup power is a plus. Knowledge of AutoCAD is a merit. Your knowledge of Swedish and English is very good, both spoken and written. In addition, you hold a Class B driver's license and have good knowledge of the Microsoft Office package. We expect you to have technical competency to handle our internal systems such as IA risk analyses, PX, SAP Concur, SharePoint, and Teams.
