About the Position We are now seeking chefs to strengthen our team during the autumn maintenance shutdown at Forsmark! A driven person who sees opportunities, brings new ideas, and has the desire to develop. You should be excellent at cooking and able to deliver great flavors even when preparing large quantities. You should be able to collaborate with others to deliver a product to our customers that we can be proud of. Job duties as a chef include preparation and cooking of daily lunches and dinners. We prepare most items from scratch, and as always, working in a kitchen involves a fast pace, lots of dishwashing and cleaning, and heavy lifting. Every year, maintenance shutdowns are conducted at the Forsmark nuclear power plant where each generator is shut down for maintenance, mandatory testing, and upgrades. This ensures safe operation during the season. Autumn shutdown dates: September 6 – November 14 We are primarily seeking staff for the shutdown period, but there may be opportunities for permanent employment afterward. Working hours are distributed between 05:00-19:30, Monday-Sunday. You will work at Restaurant Kraftkällan Forsmark. You must be at least 18 years old and speak and write Swedish fluently. It is advantageous if you have experience working in a restaurant, cold kitchen, or large-scale kitchen. It is also beneficial if you have a B-class driver's license to easily commute to and from the workplace, as bus connections are adapted to office hours. Since the work takes place at Forsmark Nuclear Power Plant, it is mandatory to undergo a security interview, background check (Police §14), and drug test. Additionally, several other mandatory training sessions will be conducted digitally, which you can complete from home.
