We are now seeking an engaged technical crypto analyst with a focus on software reverse engineering for the Cyber Operations Division. At FRA, every task is part of something larger. Your Assignment You will be part of the Crypto Office under the Cyber Operations Division. The Crypto Office's mission is to support signal intelligence and information security operations with cryptological expertise. You will be part of a team working to develop and implement mathematical and cryptological methods to support the agency's intelligence production. Your work tasks will consist of analyzing crypto implementations in software, known as software reverse engineering, and helping to convert your results into deliverables. There may also be development of tools for software reverse engineering. Competence development in this area will be a natural part of the work. Here you will have good opportunities to influence how work is conducted in the team, as well as take responsibility for specific areas as you grow into the role. Furthermore, collaboration with other parts of both the Crypto Office and the Cyber Operations Division is included. You will join a creative environment with a diverse range of expertise in cryptology, mathematics, and cybersecurity. You Can We are looking for someone who has: • An academic degree in cybersecurity, computer engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or another field that the employer considers equivalent. Alternatively, you have acquired equivalent knowledge through work experience. • Knowledge of software reverse engineering. • Good knowledge of Swedish and English in both speech and writing. Since you will come into contact with the following work areas, we consider it meritorious if you have competence in one or more of them: • Operating systems such as Linux, Windows, and/or mobile OS (Android and iOS) • Compilers, computer architectures and their instruction sets (ISA) • C/C++, Java, or other modern high-level languages such as Go, Swift, and Rust • Python • Cryptology • Development of mobile applications • Communication protocols or network forensics You will have excellent opportunities for competence development in the above areas during your employment.
