What does it mean to be a resource nurse in neuro? Resource nurse Elin shares her experience – Working as a resource nurse is varied and fun. You get to meet many new colleagues and learn to work within different specialties. I feel appreciated when I come to the different units, and many ask when I'll be back next time. Sometimes I get the opportunity to follow patients through the care pathway across different units, which I find very educational. As a resource nurse, you will receive orientation on our units based on your previous experience. You belong to a home unit but work on the different units included in the resource pool: stroke unit 85B, neurosurgical care unit 85E, and neurology unit 85D. Based on your preferences and the department's needs, your shifts are scheduled on the units with the greatest need during the scheduling period. You participate in training days at all units and are offered opportunities to attend courses for skills development within neurology. Your Qualifications You are a licensed registered nurse with several years of experience in the profession. Preferably with experience from acute or neurology care. Your Competencies Are you curious and do you enjoy being challenged and learning more? Then we would like you to join our neuro team. You adapt easily to changing circumstances, varying tasks, and changes in pace. You are confident in your professional role and have good collaboration skills. We Offer A permanent full-time position as a registered nurse with a time-limited assignment as a resource nurse for 2 years (with possibility for extension). The position includes rotation between units. Individual salary negotiation with salary supplements for rotation between departments.
