About the Workplace
Vänerparken School serves students in grades 7-9. The school is centrally located with approximately 250 students distributed across 9 classes and one specialized teaching group for students requiring a smaller learning environment. The school consists of a main building with classrooms, dining hall, administration, and student café. Through a glass-enclosed passage, we access an adjacent building with additional classrooms for theoretical subjects and music. On the school grounds, there is a building where students receive instruction in natural sciences and home and consumer studies. Physical education and health classes are held in the sports halls at the Sports Center.
At Vänerparken School, we work collaboratively with colleagues through subject groups, among other methods. The school has a student support team consisting of a special educator, school counselor, school nurse, vocational guidance advisor, principal, and access to a school psychologist, school physician, and speech-language pathologist. We have two special educators—one specializing in mathematics and one in reading, writing, and language development. At Vänerparken School, we actively work to develop support for students' right to education and accessibility in the learning environment so that every student can progress as far as possible both academically and socially. It is important to us that each student experiences a safe school with optimal conditions for learning and that all work is conducted in close collaboration with the student and their guardians.
