Description We are looking for resource pedagogues who want to work to develop students' abilities and knowledge in the adapted primary school in Vänersborg. The adapted primary school currently exists at two different locations: Mariedalskolan, which has grades F-6, and Torpaskolan, which has grades 7-9. Right now we are looking for resource pedagogues for Mariedalskolan, but in the future it could be grades 7-9. Duties The workday is built on a calm and systematic approach where low-arousal interaction is central. Communication and learning occur in all activities, whether it is a structured teaching situation in a group or a transition from one room to another. To ensure the student's best interests are in focus, we strive to have a creative, flexible, and solution-focused approach. A large and important part of our work is building trust and good relationships with both students and their guardians. We all strive for a positive and inclusive approach in all situations with students, colleagues, and guardians alike. You will be part of a small work team that works together with students to continuously develop and improve operations. You will have a shared position between after-school care and school. Your main task is to support students pedagogically, socially, medically, and physically at school. Qualifications We are looking for someone who masters the Swedish language and has good communication skills. You should have knowledge and experience working with AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) and low-arousal interaction. You are a stable and trustworthy person and have a good ability to build confidence with those around you. You can work independently, are clear, action-oriented, responsive, and can adapt to the student's/students' needs. You have good collaboration skills and are flexible, as well as having a good ability to build relationships with students and guardians. You have a creative and solution-focused approach and place the student in focus. To be qualified for this position, you should have post-secondary pedagogical education, where support pedagogue training is meritorious, or alternatively be trained as a nursing assistant. You may also have other educational background that the employer deems relevant for the assignment. Regardless of educational background, we see that you need to have experience working with individuals who have intellectual disabilities and/or multiple disabilities. Since the work is physically demanding, you must have full physical capacity. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
