We are now seeking a reliable, warm, and engaged person for a part-time position in our afterschool program. The role is scheduled for afternoons during afterschool hours, approximately between 1:30 PM and 5:00 PM. This is a perfect assignment for you who want to combine work with studies or another part-time job while making a direct difference in a child's everyday life. The position can, by agreement, be combined with additional hourly assignments within the Children and Education Department. In your role as a student assistant, you will be a personal and present support for a child during afternoons at the afterschool program. Your main task is to create a structured, safe, and enjoyable time after the school day ends. You will be available to guide in play, support social interaction, and facilitate routines such as snacks and transitions between different activities. Through your calm and pedagogical approach, you will help create a harmonious environment and maintain good and close communication with both regular afterschool staff and parents. We believe that you who are applying have previous experience working with children, for example as a childcare provider, student assistant, or from afterschool activities. As a person, you are responsible, proactive, and confident in yourself, with great patience and a calm demeanor. If you have education in child and youth work and experience with children with special needs, that is a merit. It is also a merit if you have education or experience in TAKK.
