WORK TASKS We are seeking a resource teacher or special education teacher in mathematics for Vasaskolan's middle school. We are looking for an important puzzle piece for our organization that values relational competence. With us, you will work both preventatively and remedially with individual students and groups. We have seen good results when our resource teachers and teachers work together to develop and follow up on teaching. The role of resource teacher includes supporting students who need extra practice and support in mathematics. Sometimes in small groups and sometimes individually and as support in the classroom. How the arrangement looks depends on the situation and needs. You will work closely with a special education coordinator and special teacher—who will also be your closest colleagues. Our special education coordinator is responsible for establishing intervention programs, but as a resource teacher you are an important part in implementing teaching, documentation, feedback, and supporting teachers in follow-up work. The role includes being available for consultation meetings and, when needed, participating in development meetings even if you won't be a mentor yourself. You have experience working at the middle school level. You are communicative, stable, and solution-oriented. You can contribute to moving work forward in a constructive way and have an aptitude for creating positive and sustainable relationships with students. It is a merit if you have experience working to develop extra support for students. Employment type: Permanent position. Duration: Permanent, start date: 2026-08-24 Immediately. To begin working in preschools, schools, after-school programs, and other pedagogical activities, you are required to provide a certificate from the Swedish Police criminal records register. The certificate is valid for one year and can be ordered from the Swedish Police Authority www.polisen.se.
