The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually adapted compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial difficulties and for adults with substance abuse issues. SiS also implements closed youth care. We do this at youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse issues throughout the country. At SiS, your work life becomes an exciting challenge. SiS Youth Home Ljungaskog receives non-compulsory school-age girls with psychosocial difficulties, substance abuse, and self-harm problems. The institution is tasked with providing care for girls with special care needs. Job Description We are looking for you who, during the fall semester, want to work as a resource teacher, primarily in Swedish and English, and in combination with this, together with responsible teachers, further develop and build up our school library activities. The position also involves working in various ways to inspire students to read. Qualifications We are looking for you who are a teacher, preferably in Swedish and/or English, for primary school or upper secondary level. In combination with this, you have a strong interest in and experience with library activities and various forms of reading promotion initiatives. Education in library and information science is desirable but not required. For you to succeed in your assignment, we require that you are a clear pedagogical leader with good structure, that you are responsible, and that you have good collaboration skills. You are also solution-focused and flexible in your work approach. You use a low-intensity approach and have a good ability to create a positive study atmosphere where you challenge and inspire students to progress as far as possible in their knowledge development, but also to develop their social skills based on individual conditions. Students are always the focus of your work and you are curious and motivated to find paths to success with each student. Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
