The Department of Labor Market and Education has a unified responsibility for integration, labor market, education, and employment matters affecting our municipality's residents. The department is also responsible for the School of Culture, meal services, and performs tasks for the medical and psychological aspects of student health in municipal preschool class, primary school, adapted primary school, upper secondary school, and adapted upper secondary school. The school is centrally located in Boden with nature surrounding it, and everything is close by! We consist of 5 school units plus an adapted upper secondary school. We offer 11 national programs, both vocational and college-preparatory, as well as an introduction program. Björknäs Upper Secondary School is also an authorized IB school (International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme). DUTIES We are looking for you to work as a resource in our introduction program and who enjoys variety, challenges, and making a difference every day. In this role, you support students with special needs, social challenges, or learning difficulties. Your goal is to create structure, help the student keep up with instruction, and promote a safe learning environment. The work often takes place in the classroom or in small groups, or individually. You collaborate daily with teaching staff and special educators. About the Position As a resource with us, you are an important part of the introduction program's daily operations. You need to be flexible and adapt your day based on students' needs. You will: Provide support during lessons and breaks. Work with clarifying pedagogy and structure. Promote students' social and emotional development. Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and guardians. Contribute to creating a predictable, safe, and accessible learning environment. The position is currently until the end of the fall term but may be extended. 75-100% employment. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for you who: Have experience working with children/students with autism or other neurodevelopmental variations. Are calm, attentive, and can create structure and clarity. Are flexible, responsible, and work well in a team. Have good communication skills, both verbal and written. Meritorious: Knowledge and experience in low-affect interactions. Experience with clarifying pedagogy. Experience from primary school/upper secondary school or adapted school. We are looking for you who are clear and have good collaboration skills with a willingness to share your knowledge and experiences. You have a strong ability to build good relationships with colleagues, students, and guardians. You recognize students' interests and develop them through both practical and theoretical work throughout the student's day. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. Interviews are ongoing. Employment Type: Fixed-term contract. Duration: 3-6 months. Please attach your education or degree certificate.
