The Outdoor Recreation unit works to promote public health and create opportunities for an active leisure time for both Gävle residents and visitors in our green areas. We maintain and care for, among other things, the municipality's jogging trails and hiking trails, nature harbors and guest harbors along the coast, paddling routes, outdoor swimming facilities, the Hemlingby outdoor recreation area, and Hemlingbystugan. For our operations at Hemlingbystugan, we are now seeking an employee as a restaurant attendant who also supervises our sheltered employment staff. 1 position(s). WORK TASKS We are now looking for a restaurant attendant for Hemlingbystugan. In this role, you contribute to creating a welcoming and service-oriented operation where visitors can feel comfortable and cared for. You work both with the daily operations of the café and service activities and with supervising our sheltered employment staff in their work tasks. Together with colleagues in the operation, you help ensure that Hemlingby remains an appreciated destination for people of all ages. Your work tasks include: • Work with sales, service and cash handling in the café and service operations • Prepare and handle simple food, refreshments and serving. • Ensure that premises, service areas and kitchens are kept clean, well-maintained and pleasant through ongoing cleaning and organization. • Receive deliveries and handle goods, inventory and stocktaking. Supervise, support and collaborate with sheltered employment staff in daily work and contribute to an inclusive and developing work environment. • Participate in the daily operations and development of Hemlingbystugan and contribute to good customer service and high service quality for visitors. Working hours are scheduled days, evenings and weekends. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with education in food, such as a cold kitchen specialist, cook or equivalent, and at least two years of relevant work experience in the restaurant industry. You have experience in supervision or working with people with disabilities and good knowledge of Swedish. As a person, you are proactive, solution-oriented and relationship-building. You enjoy varied work tasks, cooperate well with others and have a structured and thorough work approach. Interest in baking and education in food hygiene, self-inspection or hygiene are meriting. To succeed in the role, you have: • Education in restaurant and food, such as cook, cold kitchen specialist or equivalent. • At least two years of relevant work experience in restaurant, kitchen or service operations. • Experience in supervision and/or work with people with disabilities. • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written. • Meriting with knowledge or interest in baking and education in food hygiene/self-inspection.
