Your Future Employer
Borås Schakt was founded in 1953 and has been a significant player in the construction industry in Borås from the start. In 1985, the company was acquired by LBC Borås AB. The workshop, located in Strömsdal just outside Borås, was initially primarily intended for servicing the company's own machinery. Over time, the business has grown and today is largely focused on external customers.
What Does the Role Offer?
As a spare parts specialist, you'll have a central and varied role in our workshop. You work closely with mechanics, customers, and suppliers, ensuring that the right materials and spare parts are in place when needed. We offer secure employment terms and a collective agreement, plus a pleasant workplace where community and collaboration are in focus. With us, you'll be part of an engaged team that values responsibility and customer focus.
Main Responsibilities:
Handle orders of spare parts, materials, and consumables
Receive and interpret needs from mechanics and customers
Locate the correct spare part based on technical information
Contact suppliers regarding prices, availability, and delivery times
Work with spare parts manuals, service manuals, and exploded diagrams
Follow up on orders and deliveries
Ensure material availability for workshop operations
Manage and develop inventory
Receive, inspect, and place incoming goods
Ensure adequate stock of frequently used items
Serve as a contact person between the workshop, customers, and suppliers
Contribute to developing procedures and workflows within spare parts and inventory
Who Are You?
We're looking for someone who is independent, solution-oriented, and curious. You don't need to know all our machinery or systems from day one – but you need the willingness and ability to find things out. An interest in vehicles and technology is an advantage in this role. When you don't know the answer, we expect you to investigate further, ask questions, and try different approaches until you find a solution.
You are thorough because the right spare part is crucial for the workshop to meet its timelines and deliver according to customer expectations. At the same time, you can prioritize when multiple things happen simultaneously. You enjoy having many contact points and communicate easily with mechanics, customers, and suppliers.
We'd Like to See That You Have:
Experience in spare parts handling, procurement, or workshop work
Interest and understanding of vehicles, construction machinery, or technology
Knowledge of service and spare parts manuals
Experience working independently with orders and supplier contacts
Familiarity with business systems and other digital systems
Good Swedish and English, spoken and written
Requirements:
B-class driver's license
Good telephone skills and experience with customer contact by phone
