They are now seeking a traveling service technician who wants to become an important part of the team and work with service and installation of advanced industrial equipment at customer sites throughout Sweden. About the Position As a traveling service technician at KMC, you will have a varied and independent role where you are responsible for installation, service, maintenance, and troubleshooting of their machinery at customer locations. You will work with equipment in areas such as blasting, tumbling, surface treatment, die casting, and balancing. The work involves extensive travel throughout Sweden and several hotel nights per year. You will also travel to their suppliers in Europe for training, machinery inspections, and technical reviews. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will work with: Installation and commissioning of new machinery. Mechanical maintenance, service, and repair of industrial machinery. Troubleshooting and addressing urgent operational downtime. Preventive service, machinery inspections, and maintenance according to service plans. Upgrades and modernization of existing equipment. Technical documentation and reporting of completed work. Technical advice to customers regarding operation, maintenance, and improvements. Identification of spare parts needs and future upgrade opportunities. We are looking for someone with a technical background and experience in mechanical maintenance, service, or installation in industry. You have a good understanding of industrial electrical systems, can read electrical schematics, and have troubleshooting experience. Experience with control systems or PLC is a plus. We would like you to have: Technical education at least at upper secondary level in fields such as mechanics, electrical work, automation, or equivalent. Experience in mechanical maintenance, service, and installation in industry. Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and troubleshooting. Ability to read drawings and technical documentation. Class B driver's license. Good Swedish skills and English language proficiency in both speech and writing. You are structured, thorough, and have a natural ability to build trust with customers. Since the role involves many travel days, we see that you appreciate dynamic work and thrive in the field. Additional Information The position involves travel throughout Sweden and some travel within Europe for training and supplier visits. Your location is flexible, but we would prefer if you are based in Southern Sweden, Stockholm, or the Mälardalen region, as many of our customers are located in these areas. A service vehicle will be available from your home when possible, and you will have access to modern tools and equipment that will provide you with excellent conditions to succeed in the role.
