They are now looking for a traveling service technician who wants to become an important part of the team and work with service and installation of advanced industrial equipment at customer sites throughout Sweden.
About the Position
As a traveling service technician at KMC, you will have a varied and independent role where you are responsible for installation, service, maintenance, and troubleshooting of their machines at customer sites. You will work with equipment including blasting, tumbling, surface treatment, die casting, and balancing.
The work involves frequent travel throughout Sweden and several nights in hotels per year. You will also travel to their suppliers in Europe for training, machine inspections, and technical reviews.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will work with:
Installation and commissioning of new machinery.
Mechanical maintenance, service, and repair of industrial machinery.
Troubleshooting and addressing urgent production stoppages.
Preventive service, machine inspections, and maintenance according to service plans.
Upgrades and modernization of existing equipment.
Technical documentation and reporting of completed work.
Technical advice to customers regarding operation, maintenance, and improvements.
Identifying needs for spare parts and future upgrades.
We are looking for someone with a technical background and experience in mechanical maintenance, service, or installation within industry. You have a good understanding of industrial electrical systems, can read electrical schematics, and have troubleshooting experience. Experience with control systems or PLC is a plus.
We would like you to have:
Technical education at least at upper secondary school level in areas such as mechanics, electrical, automation, or equivalent.
Experience in mechanical maintenance, service, and installation within industry.
Good knowledge of industrial electrical systems and troubleshooting.
Ability to read drawings and technical documentation.
B-class driver's license.
Good knowledge of Swedish and English in speech and writing.

Other Information
The position involves travel throughout Sweden and some travel within Europe for training and supplier visits. Work location is flexible, but we would prefer that you are based in Southern Sweden, Stockholm, or Mälardalen as many of our customers are located in these areas.
A service vehicle operates from your residence when possible, and you will have access to modern tools and equipment that provide you with good conditions to succeed in the role.
