About the position As a traveling assembler at Västanfors Steel Structures, you become an important part of our team working on-site in building projects throughout the country, but primarily in Central Sweden. You will participate in the daily assembly of our buildings, where our work includes steel structures, prefabricated elements, and sheet metal. Work is carried out in close collaboration with assembly management and project engineers, and together you ensure that each construction is completed with high quality and safety. You will be based from your home somewhere in Central Sweden. Examples of work tasks: Assemble steel structures and prefab on-site in our building projects Perform self-inspections according to quality and safety procedures Represent Västanfors Steel Structures on-site in the project Participate in building meetings as needed Since projects are located throughout Sweden, you need to be comfortable traveling and working away during weeks. We normally work Monday morning through Thursday afternoon, but other working hours may occur depending on project needs. The position is a permanent employment starting as soon as possible and employment directly with Västanfors Steel Structures. About you We are looking for someone with experience in construction work or similar orientation, preferably with a background in prefab or steel construction, and who sees their future in the construction industry. It is important that you have good understanding of building processes, are practically inclined, and have a B driver's license. To thrive in the role, you are solution-oriented and see opportunities rather than problems. You like to be active, take responsibility for your work, and are careful about both quality and safety. You like to plan ahead, are flexible, and have an easy time collaborating with others. Since you also spend a lot of time with your colleagues, it's an advantage if you are social and outgoing. Experience with welding, simple sheet metal work, and work with lifts and telescopic handlers is a merit. Certifications such as "Safe Lifting," "Fall Protection," "BAM," and "Hot Work" are also a plus – but not required.
