Poddhuset, which produces Trygghetspodden and Sverigepodden, is now seeking a reporter for the Gothenburg/west coast region. You will produce podcast episodes from Greater Gothenburg, and occasionally from other parts of the west coast. You are an experienced radio and/or TV reporter. Poddhuset has developed a unique podcast concept - Reapods (Reality podcasts). This means that many episodes are produced out "in the real world." This creates more dynamic and engaging content. Video trailers and images are also created. By working with "storytelling," the podcast content becomes even more engaging. As a reporter at Poddhuset, you will produce podcast episodes, along with accompanying video trailers and images for social media. The work includes generating episode ideas, conducting research, booking appropriate contributors, recording audio and filming video/photography on location, editing, and assembling material into finished podcast episodes, video trailers, and images. The role requires you to be creative, driven, able to take initiative, and work independently. It is very important that you have experience producing longer radio reportages or documentaries and have strong skills in advanced audio editing. Poddhuset welcomes female applicants. Initially, you will primarily work with Trygghetspodden, but gradually also more with Sverigepodden. Poddhuset will also launch additional podcasts in the future. You will have the opportunity to work with these as well. We are looking for someone who: passionately engages with issues related to public safety and security. is a highly skilled radio journalist and interviewer. has radio/TV journalism training or extensive journalism experience. has excellent audio editing skills. is a skilled photographer. can handle basic photo editing in Photoshop. has broad general knowledge and is informed about current politics and relevant societal issues related to safety and security. is familiar with Trygghetspodden and the topics covered in it. is skilled at news evaluation. has excellent local knowledge, primarily of Greater Gothenburg, but also good knowledge of the rest of the west coast. has strong collaboration skills. has extensive experience working with various social media platforms. It is an advantage, but not required, if you: have experience with "storytelling" as an interview technique – to bring interviews to life. are a skilled videographer. are skilled at video editing. have experience working in a newsroom. own radio reporter equipment and a system camera. have a driver's license and own car. have access to a podcast/audio studio.
