Right now, we are facing several exciting initiatives related to environmental work, customer service, and the development of smart waste solutions, and we hope that you want to contribute to that development. As a sanitation driver, you will have varied and qualified work where you work closely with colleagues, technology, and residents. You will be part of the unit for ÅVC and sludge, which consists of approximately 30 employees, two supervisors, and a unit manager to whom you report. Please visit www.gotland.se/avfall. Your duties As a sanitation driver in Visby city center, you play a central role in keeping the city clean, pleasant, and sustainable. You are Region Gotland's face to the public and have daily contact with both residents and businesses when you collect food and residual waste. This is work that makes a difference—both for the environment and for preserving our shared cultural heritage. The duties consist mainly of collecting and transporting waste with a rear-loading garbage truck. You use vehicle computers and RFID equipment in your daily work, report deviations, and are responsible for basic maintenance and inspection of the vehicle and its attachments. The work is often done together with colleagues, but also requires you to be self-directed and take responsibility for performing the job in a safe and careful manner. Because you move through Visby's narrow alleys and historic quarters, it is important that you drive responsibly and carefully. In addition to the above duties, other tasks may occur based on the needs of the operation. Who are you? We are looking for someone who has a Class C driver's license, valid YKB certification, and training in work on roads. Experience from similar work is a merit, as is knowledge of the EDP Mobile system. You have a service-oriented and responsible work approach, are accustomed to physical work, and feel comfortable both collaborating with colleagues and working independently.
