Release Coordinator/Scrum Master at the Swedish Public Employment Service

Who are we? The Digital Services Department consists of more than 300 people who develop the Swedish Public Employment Service's digital solutions. We are in the midst of a comprehensive digital transformation that relies on several IT platforms. You will become part of the Design, Architecture and Systems unit, where we work with strategic decisions, direction and technology that impacts other development teams within Pega. Your team develops the platform for our new decision and case management system, which is built on Pega. We work product-driven and agile with inspiration from SAFe. All development is planned in periods and we collaborate cross-functionally. What will your role be? The role has two main responsibilities: you are Scrum Master for the platform team and release coordinator for all teams working on the Pega platform. In smaller assignments, you sometimes step in as a technical project manager. As release coordinator, you are responsible for working with the team to set the standards and milestones that development teams must achieve before release. The work is cross-functional and you collaborate with many parts of the IT organization – from server-level teams and product owners to other development teams, the Service Desk and other stakeholders. The platform team and its sister team Center of Excellence have a coordinating role among the development teams. In addition to our own development, we also coordinate the deliveries of other teams. The team has broad expertise. We develop common functionality that is reused by product teams, build robots, ensure data delivery to teams building data warehouses and advanced analytics, and maintain both the Pega platform and the underlying infrastructure. Right now we are transitioning from servers to containers in Kubernetes. The team is large and broad. Therefore, one of your most important tasks will be to find working methods that keep the expertise broad – so that more people can work in multiple areas, without everyone having to be involved in everything. You work in a structured manner and continuous improvement is a natural part of your daily work. Who are we looking for? More about working with us Basic requirements for the position Several years of documented experience working in leadership roles, such as Scrum Master, technical project manager, IT project manager, change manager and continuous improvement. Experience leading complex and cross-functional deliveries. Relevant higher education/university degree or equivalent education or experience that the employer deems equivalent and appropriate for the assignment. Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Other merits for the position Certification as Scrum Master Experience with Jira and Confluence.
