All programs work to promote children's and young people's active bi- and multilingualism, and the intercultural character of the programs, where many languages and nationalities meet, creates a positive sense of belonging among both children, students, and staff. Språkskolan Preschool is a Swedish-Finnish preschool and an English preschool under one roof. A preschool with two language tracks, Finnish and English. The staff's common language is Swedish. The preschool is centrally located in the Smedby district and is easily accessible with good public transportation. The preschool is nestled in beautiful nature with walking paths and no disruptive traffic. About the Position Do you want to lead a preschool where language, language development, and culture are central? As principal of Språkskolan Preschool, you will lead a program with four departments that together have capacity for up to 75 children and 13 staff members. In this role, you are responsible for the preschool's pedagogical leadership, staff, working environment, and systematic quality work, according to the Education Act and the curriculum (Lpfö 18). You will also work closely with the School Principal, other principals, and the board. You will be part of an engaged management team and receive support in HR and finance, among other things. You are part of a smaller organization with short decision-making paths while having great freedom to shape your internal organization at the preschool together with your colleagues. Key Responsibilities In your role as pedagogical leader and manager of Språkskolan Preschool, you are responsible for the preschool's long-term direction and development and ensuring that the education at the preschool as a whole strives toward national goals. You are responsible for designing the pedagogical activities so that all children thrive and develop according to the preschool's goals and governing documents, and for providing educators with the conditions to work based on the preschool's curriculum. The role includes, among other things: Pedagogical leadership and systematic quality work Personnel responsibility, recruitment, and professional development Working environment responsibility for both children's and staff's working environment Budget and financial responsibility for the preschool Internal and external collaboration Develop and maintain the preschool's Swedish-Finnish and English profiles Who Are We Looking For? · We are looking for you who have experience working as a principal and have completed or begun the national principal program. · You are driven by the desire to create and lead an attractive preschool and a thriving program with satisfied children, guardians, and staff, where you keep your promises and strive to achieve results with the best possible quality. · In your management role, you are structured, clear, communicative, and receptive while standing firm in your decisions and leading the program professionally and responsibly. · You see your staff as important resources and are a present leader. · You have very good knowledge of the Swedish language and also an interest in and preferably experience with multilingual pedagogy – knowledge of Finnish and/or English is a merit. · You have documented experience working systematically with quality assurance and program development. Scope and Employment Employment Level: 50% Employment Type: Permanent with an initial probationary period of 6 months.
