Are you our new principal at Snörrumskolan?
We are looking for you who, together with the assistant principal and staff, want to lead and develop Snörrumskolan. Snörrumskolan is an elementary school comprising grades F-3, after-school care, and adapted elementary school. The school has a total of approximately 185 students and approximately 38 employees. The student welfare team and school social team work together with educators and other staff on preventive and health-promoting student welfare work with a focus on student learning.
We develop our systematic quality work by monitoring our students' results at individual, group, and organizational levels to create the best possible conditions for learning and development. We are proud of our high teacher qualifications, which are among the highest in the country, and our excellent student results. DUTIES:
As principal, you are the pedagogical leader of the operation. You have overall responsibility for students, employees, work environment, finances, and the school's quality and school development. You will participate in the department's development work in the Children and Education Department's management team. In your work as principal, you will provide operation-focused and trust-based leadership that places the student at the center as you, together with other leaders, student welfare staff, and personnel, organize, drive, and develop the operation.
Together with the assistant principal, you are responsible for the school's students and have independent responsibility for approximately 22 employees. You will be supported by various support functions, student welfare staff, and engaged employees. Your work consists of principal tasks involving both overarching and operation-focused issues through close leadership for the entire school as well as in collaboration with others within the municipality and other collaborative partners.
This position gives you great opportunities to organize and, together with your colleagues, develop Snörrumskolan.
QUALIFICATIONS:
We are looking for you who:
Have adequate pedagogical higher education and are well versed in the curriculum documents for elementary school, adapted elementary school, and after-school care.
See the possibilities of students, colleagues, and others rather than obstacles and always find viable paths in treatment, communication, and leadership.
Support and challenge educators in their work to promote the quality of teaching and student development.
Are a secure and clear pedagogical leader.
Are analytical and see how different parts affect the whole and have the ability to plan and implement improvement measures based on that, as well as follow up on their effects.
Are communicative and well-organized with good ability to collaborate with all professions at the school, students, and guardians.
Have experience and expertise in working with young people with intellectual disabilities and other functional variations, such as within NPF.
Preferably have experience as a principal and have completed or are completing the state principal training.
Have a driver's license (category B).
Great weight will be placed on your personal suitability and leadership qualities.
EMPLOYMENT TERMS:
Permanent employment.
Start date as soon as possible or by agreement.
Full-time employment (100%).
Work primarily scheduled during daytime hours.
Individual and differentiated salary setting applies.
