Your Tasks Are you a confident and operational leader who wants to drive the development of the schools of the future? We are now looking for a principal and pedagogical leader who can, with strength and commitment, implement the comprehensive school reforms that will take effect in 2026–2028. As principal of the resource schools, you have a clear responsibility not only to prevent but actively maintain safety and academic order. You lead the operations during a time of major national changes where your ability to translate new legislation into practical action is crucial. As a pedagogical leader, you work closely with your staff and their teaching mission. You are goal-oriented and engaged in your efforts to develop the resource schools. By promoting participation and a collaborative culture, you create conditions for continuous learning among your staff. You are courageous in your leadership and use clear feedback as a tool in developmental work. You are experienced in your pedagogical mission and recognize the importance of being close to instruction in your role as principal. Your Workplace The Resource Schools NPS (norm-breaking, mental health issues, social challenges) are for students in grades 1–9 in Linköping Municipality who need extra support in their school development. The target group is students with school and/or psychosocial difficulties, and school placement is a right as long as the needs are assessed to persist. There are a total of 6 resource schools with this focus, with a mainly even distribution of student places between grades 1–6 and grades 7–9. The schools operate in small groups with high staff density, which also provides opportunities to practice social interaction. Teaching is conducted based on each student's conditions and needs, where students are offered all subjects according to the curriculum. Students are met in their daily lives by clear, safe, and stable adults. About You We want you to have a pedagogical degree and completed principal training. We are looking for an experienced principal with pedagogical leadership characterized by participation, developmental focus, and a strong, confident value base and student perspective. You have good knowledge of school law and are confident in making difficult decisions regarding disciplinary measures and special support, where your values always put the student's best interests and safety first. You also have experience and knowledge regarding the laws and regulations required to work for a good work environment. Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, is a requirement. You are confident and unpretentious in your leadership and you create participation and alignment in the operation. You lead by creating commitment and trust, while being clear in your mission. Your leadership style combines an inclusive culture with the ability to promote order and academic calm. You also have a strong focus on developing teaching, where you are grounded in a scientific foundation in your pursuit of creating the very best of operations.
