Höglandsförbundet – Collaboration is our strength! Höglandsförbundet is a municipal federation formed by Aneby, Eksjö, Nässjö, Sävsjö and Vetlanda. These five municipalities, in the Småland highlands, value collaboration and know that we become stronger together. We currently have a range of different operations working for the benefit of the entire Högland. Within Höglandsförbundet there is also Högland's educational collaboration, which currently consists of Höglandsgymnasiet with schools in Eksjö, Nässjö, Sävsjö and Vetlanda. In total, we are approximately 550 employees working to ensure that our approximately 3,000 students receive a high-quality education that prepares them for the future in working life or further studies. Then we have a job for you. Your new job We are looking for you who want to be part of the management team at Njudungsgymnasiet and work as a rector with program responsibility. Together with other rectors, an administrative manager and gymnasium manager, we form the school management and work together to set goals for the operation. We ensure good organization where all employees work for the students' benefit. Njudungsgymnasiet has good collaboration with our stakeholders, so the position also involves contact and collaboration with other actors, such as business and the municipality. As rector, you lead and develop pedagogical work based on systematic quality work, and ensure that the school follows applicable governing documents. The rector's focus is to create conditions for good pedagogical activities and high quality with engaged employees who best meet, inspire and challenge students. You work to ensure the school is safe and inclusive, where good relationships and trust are in focus. You provide present and inclusive leadership to ensure good community and team spirit among both staff and students. An important part of the work is to dialogue with students, guardians, staff and student health services to create the best conditions for each student based on their unique circumstances. In the role you have operational, personnel and financial responsibility. You have close dialogue with HR and finance who support you in your assignment. As rector within Höglandsgymnasiet, you become part of our rector group with rectors at our five gymnasium schools on Högland. Together with the school principal and gymnasium managers, we develop our schools where each school has its own special niche and profile. About you We are looking for you who are motivated to work together with employees so that students succeed in their education. You have teacher certification, with merit credentials for gymnasium or equivalent pedagogical experience. You have good knowledge of the laws, agreements and governing documents that regulate school operations. It is advantageous if you have experience working as a manager or rector with personnel responsibility in public operations and in a politically controlled organization. We also view experience with budget monitoring and financial management, as well as good knowledge of systematic quality work and school development, positively. It is advantageous if you have started or completed the state rector training program. You have good digital competence and use IT as a natural tool in your work. Since the role involves many contact points, you also need very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. Merit with a B-category driving license. To succeed in the role as rector, you are a confident and self-sufficient leader who takes responsibility for the operation's development and results and who also enjoys leading together with others. You work structurally, plan and prioritize your work efficiently while being flexible and able to quickly adapt to new conditions. You see possibilities in changes and can translate new ideas, working methods and approaches into the school's long-term improvement work. You have inclusive and trust-based leadership where you lead, motivate and create conditions for employees to take responsibility and develop in their roles. By creating engagement, participation and good relationships, you build strong teams that work towards common goals. As rector, you also have a well-developed holistic view and make decisions based on what is best for the entire school and organization.
