Kunskapsskolan in Sweden operates elementary and secondary schools where personalized education is at the core. Today, approximately 13,000 students attend our 35 schools throughout the country. Kunskapsskolan Uppsala Norra is an elementary school for grades 7-9 and currently has approximately 270 students, divided into four base groups per grade. The school was founded in 2009 and is located 500 meters from Uppsala city center. About the assignment As principal, you have overall responsibility for leading the daily operations and ensuring that the school is run in accordance with national regulations, the school's quality plan, and Kunskapsskolan's processes. Your main responsibilities: Pedagogical leadership: Lead and develop operations so that established quality and grade goals are achieved. Present leadership: Actively participate in daily operations to provide continuous feedback to employees and create a safe and stimulating environment where both students and staff thrive. Employee and quality work: Involve employees in the school's quality work and keep them continually informed about progress toward goal achievement. Finance and operations: Establish and maintain a budget for each fiscal year in accordance with the company's key metrics and policies. Communication and collaboration: Inform prospective students and guardians about the school and pedagogy, and drive development work to strengthen the school's position locally in Uppsala. Group collaboration: Participate in principal conferences and cluster meetings to contribute to the entire Kunskapsskolan's development. Who are you? We are looking for someone with courage, commitment, and the ability to engage employees and students in the school's development. You are a secure and clear leader who inspires and energizes those around you. You practice skillful pedagogical leadership, take responsibility for student learning and results, and have very strong collaboration and communication skills. Qualifications: University degree with a pedagogical focus. Documented and successful experience as a school leader/principal. Well familiar with Lgr22, national regulations, and school regulations. Meritorious qualifications: Completed principal training (Rektorsprogrammet). Good insight into and knowledge of current educational research. Experience with Kunskapsskolan's working methods. Experience with personnel responsibility. Good local knowledge of Uppsala municipality. Job arrangement Scope: Full-time (100%), permanent employment. Location: Uppsala.
