About the Workplace The Department of Children and Education, working under the direction of the Children and Education Committee, is responsible for the municipality's preschools, elementary schools, after-school programs, child and student health services, upper secondary education, adult education, the municipal arts school, Håbo Library, and meal services. In Håbo Municipality, we are undertaking comprehensive development work in which a review of school structure is underway. The goal is to build an educationally, organizationally, and economically sustainable elementary school structure. We are looking for someone interested in driving change and development together with the department and other principals. Your Responsibilities As a principal in elementary school, you have overall responsibility for the school unit's operations. You work both operatively and strategically to lead and develop the school toward increased goal achievement. In your role, you are responsible for finances, personnel, and work environment. You drive systematic quality improvement work based on research and proven experience and ensure that operations are conducted in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. As a principal, you are part of the management group for elementary schools, where you collaborate with principal colleagues and the operations manager/school superintendent for elementary schools. You report directly to the operations manager for elementary schools. We Are Looking for Someone Who has completed principal training. has documented experience working as a school leader in elementary school with full responsibility for personnel, work environment, budget, and operations. has strong pedagogical leadership qualities and strategies for leading the school's work. has the ability to delegate and lead through other leaders and key personnel. has the ability to inspire and engage your employees. has experience successfully leading and organizing student health work. has experience leading and developing systematic quality improvement work. has experience leading change and improvement processes. has financial insight and the ability to use finances as a management tool in your pedagogical leadership. You work goal-oriented, are accustomed to creating functioning structures and an effective organization as the foundation for leading the school's development processes. You see diversity as an asset in your operations. You are a communicative person and a good listener.
