Job Responsibilities As a principal, you have operational responsibility for staff, finances, operations, results, and work environment within your unit. You lead, develop, and follow up on operations together with your colleagues. In this role, you collaborate with other professionals, colleagues, union representatives, and external contacts, including parents. You lead and coordinate pedagogical work. You are especially responsible for developing the educational program. It is the principal who decides how the preschool will be organized and allocates resources based on children's different circumstances and needs. With us, you become part of a principal team that works together on strategic matters. The administration offers strong operational support, including from special educators, administrators, and HR. We are seeking two committed principal colleagues who can complement our principal teams in Hisingen 3, which consists of teams Kville, Ramberget, and Älvstranden. One position is an expansion and the other is a replacement. You will be part of a principal team consisting of approximately five principals where we complement and support each other. The principal teams and operations manager in the area meet regularly and work together on common operational and development issues. The principal team also functions as an important part of our collegial learning and support in your management role. Qualifications At the preschool administration, close leadership characterizes all our management and leadership roles. You also have: A university degree equivalent to 180 credits with pedagogical components Recent experience working as a principal or manager in the education sector Several years of experience working in the education sector Good knowledge of preschool curricula and guidelines Good knowledge of systematic quality work and the ability to implement it in practice It is meritorious if you have: Started the national principal training program (rector program) Leadership and/or management training in addition to the principal program Experience in management roles in a larger and/or complex operation, preferably in preschool Experience in driving change initiatives Knowledge of or experience in financial management and resource allocation Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations in the education sector Familiarity with collective agreements and employer responsibilities As a person, you are clear and engaging and create motivation and cohesion in the group. Your ability to effectively communicate goals leads the group toward common results. You are attentive, analytical, solve problems effectively, and see operations in a larger context, with a focus on the child's best interests and the curriculum's values.
