JOB RESPONSIBILITIES In your role as preschool principal, you will drive systematic quality work. We have a shared mission to create a preschool that maintains high quality. You will also be responsible for business development, personnel management, budget, and finances. You report directly to the operations manager. As a leader, you are responsible for ensuring that education and instruction in the preschool develops in accordance with the curriculum's and other governing documents' goals and intentions. You drive active systematic workplace and quality work that focuses on how educators and the preschool environment can contribute to children's conditions for learning. Our shared goal is an equitable preschool where all children have the right to succeed. Through your approach, you realize the preschool's vision "Equal value for all in a joyful learning environment." We have a municipality-wide development initiative around language and knowledge-developing working methods that has been ongoing for several years. The department also works to increase attendance in preschool and school. As a pedagogical leader, you will show the way and ensure there is a shared understanding of the mission, as well as support and encourage staff's collective work in that direction. To support your work, in addition to an accountant, HR, and administration, there is also a special education teacher and a psychologist with a specific mandate to work with the preschool. The department also has a development manager who works with a 1-19 year perspective. QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who wants to contribute to a high-quality preschool where good relationships, pedagogical documentation, and reflection are important cornerstones. As a leader, you are confident and your leadership is characterized by attentiveness, communication, and commitment. You have the ability to collaborate in a trustful manner with children, guardians, staff, colleagues, and management. You are willing and dare to be a leader, and you have the ability to lead development of the preschool's activities. You have an inclusive approach and understand that diversity is an asset for everyone's learning and development. To thrive and succeed in your role as principal with us, it is important that you are an active and present leader who creates engagement and participation. You take on the challenges that the principal role entails, and you have the ability to work process-oriented and see possibilities rather than obstacles. You also have the ability to create a good work environment, engagement, and job satisfaction together with your staff. You have good ability to communicate in speech and writing. We place great importance on personal suitability. You have a relevant pedagogical higher education degree and preferably experience of leadership. Salary form: Monthly salary.
